Paul Angelo has been reloading and competing in rifle matches since 2000. He is certified by the National Rifle Association as a Master class competitor in Highpower Rifle (AR-15, iron sights, at 200, 300, and 600 yards). He is also certified by the NRA as an Expert class competitor in Mid-range Rifle (scoped rifle at 300, 500, and 600 yards). Paul regularly competes in club, state, and large regional matches. Every year, he competes in the National Matches at Camp Perry, Ohio. Paul is also a Director of the Florida Sport Shooting Association, the NRA State Association for Florida. In 2013, Paul earned his Distinguished Rifleman badge, number 2131.
Paul is certified by the State of Florida as both a General Instructor and a Firearms Instructor.
Paul Angelo is a Sergeant with one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the United States. His career began in 2002, and he has performed patrol, investigative, and special details in the most dangerous neighborhoods. Paul has specialized in investigations involving narcotics, prostitution, and burglary. During that time, he has earned numerous commendations plus Lifesaving and Employee Excellence awards. He endured multiple fights with felons, one riot, and has been shot at, “but those were no big deal” he says. In 2011, Paul created the Police Department’s Highpower Rifle Team, and he serves as Team Captain.
From 1984-1989, while still a teenager, Paul was employed by Miami-Dade County Public Schools as a Judo Instructor. Paul trained at the United States Olympic Complex in Colorado Springs and earned a first-degree black belt. He won several classification titles in the annual Florida State Sunshine Games events.
